Liminal > Oil Paintings

This work focuses on portraits of death and decay. Through a variety of media I seek to capture the elegance of the decomposition process. In addition to paint I incorporate materials that have complimentary characteristics to the subjects l observe. l am trying to capture the moment between something 's life and the transition to it's new purpose, from the singular to the universal. l would like to create an existential snapshot of the lesser traveled paths of the human psyche. 1 am interested in celebrating the beauty of the imperfect. l believe the closer something gets to non-existence, the more evocative it becomes.
